What a fantastic Bavarian/german restaurant, tucked away in the nice and quiet town of Troutman. It was amazing! Zigeuner Schnitzel and hefeweizen on tap. The salad was delicious too. Big portions. Friendly waitstaff. Cool atmosphere.

First time here. Sat at bar. Very, very helpful staff. Huge memu. Started with a sausage cheese board. Delicious! The bartender, Jerry, is also the owner. Him and his wife. She was telling us all the food is from her grandmother's cook book. Definitely authentic. Everything was outstanding. Beautiful patio out back. We'll be back with friends to sit out there.

Legit Bavarian experience here!! Food was absolutely amazing. Better than being in Austria:). Beer was delicious as well. Food came out fresh, hot and tasty! Apps were great as well. So happy to have a place like this within 30 minutes from us.

This place is so nice! Great decor and amazing food! We drove 3 hours to come here to get the amazing food here. Must try everything in the menu! We couldn't decide on what sides to get so we got 4 and we got the multiple main courses. Prices are worth the size portions you get! The ladies working here are super nice, very professional, and cheerful!

The food is as authentic Bavarian food as you can get in the Lake Norman area. The pork roast with dumpling was delicious and tender. There was a lot of it so I took it home and it was just as good the next day. Husband enjoyed the hefty portion of Gypsy Schnitzel. Both entrees came with a side salad. Really enjoyed the German beer. Service was outstanding. Would love to return. Parking can be hard to find since it’s shared with a couple of strip malls. We parked in front of a pawn shop and walked the length of the parking lot to the restaurant.

The food was absolutely amazing. The salad was fantastic with lush greens, wholesome flavors all throughout, and a perfect crispness. The JagerSchnitzel, was absolutely to die for. Perfectly crisp and crunchy, not too thick or thin, the house special mushroom sauce was an amazing pairing with this dish and although I would've assumed they cut corners (no pun inteded) on the fries as there was so much focus on the flavor of the schnitzel, they were perfectly paired. The mushroom sauce on top was perfect with this dish. I have been all over Europe, and I dont usually have the highest expectations at first due to experience and possible bias... I couldn't have been more wrong. The Bavarian Kitchen has the music and ambiance at a very inclusive level. The decor/ environment has a very Bavarian feel with a touch of being americanized in a good, wholesome, and friendly way. If you get a chance to stop in, ask for Ashlynn, for excellent and attentive service, and you won't be disappointed!
